Welcome to desifounder.com (“we”, “our”, “us”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, services, and community features (collectively, the “Platform”).
By creating an account or using desifounder.com, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
In case of any inconsistency, the Service Listings Terms shall prevail only for matters related to service listings.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By using desifounder, you confirm that all information you provide is true and accurate.
2. Account Responsibility
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details.
- You agree not to share your account or impersonate another person.
- You are solely responsible for all activity under your account.
We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms, our [Code of Conduct], or [Content Policies].
You agree to use desifounder only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Upload, share, or promote false, misleading, or harmful content.
- Post copyrighted material without authorization.
- Use automated bots, scraping, or spam activities.

3.1 Service Listings - Terms of Use
Desifounder is a neutral online platform that enables discovery of startups, tools, resources, and third-party service providers. Desifounder does not act as an agent, broker, intermediary, partner, employer, or representative of any user, including service providers or customers.
Any voluntary pro bono or sample support offered by service providers is independent of the Platform and does not create any obligation, warranty, or liability for Desifounder.
We reserve the right to moderate, edit, or remove any content at our discretion.
4. User Content & Consent
You retain full ownership of the content you submit on desifounder, including projects, profile information, posts, and comments. By submitting such content, you grant desifounder a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, distribute, and use it solely for the purpose of operating, improving, and promoting the Platform.
By creating an account or using desifounder, you also provide your free, informed, specific, and unambiguous consent to the collection, use, storage, and processing of your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that any content you submit does not infringe upon the intellectual property, privacy, or legal rights of any third party. Desifounder does not claim ownership over user content and does not verify its legal validity.
5. Spotlight and Community Submissions
By submitting a project or post to Spotlight or the Community Feed:
- You confirm that the content is original and accurate.
- You acknowledge that desifounder does not verify or endorse submissions.
- You understand that participation or recognition (e.g., Spotlight badge or newsletter feature) does not guarantee funding, partnerships, or commercial success.
We may remove or hide submissions that violate our policies.
6. Third-Party Links and Services
Desifounder may contain links to third-party websites, tools, or resources. We are not responsible for:
- The accuracy, availability, or content of these external sites.
- Any losses or damages resulting from your interaction with them.
Use third-party links at your own discretion.
6.1 Third-Party Services Disclaimer
Certain sections of the Platform list or reference third-party services, tools, or service providers. Such listings are provided for informational and discovery purposes only.
Desifounder does not verify, endorse, guarantee, or warrant any third-party services, including service providers listed on the Platform. Any engagement, transaction, or agreement is solely between the users involved.
7. Privacy

8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform and all related services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
We do not guarantee:
- Continuous, error-free access to the site.
- Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of user-generated content.
- Any particular outcome (recognition, opportunities, etc.) from using the Platform.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, desifounder, its founders, partners, and affiliates shall not be liable for:

Desifounder shall not be responsible or liable for any disputes, losses, damages, missed deadlines, unsatisfactory results, non-payments, refunds, chargebacks, or contractual issues arising between users, including between customers and service providers.
Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Platform is to stop using it.
10. Account Suspension or Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Violate these Terms or any other platform policy.
- Post or promote illegal, harmful, or offensive material.
- Abuse community features or cause harm to other users.
10.1 Fair Use & Acceptable Conduct
Desifounder reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to remove, edit, restrict, or disable any content, listing, or account that violates applicable laws, platform policies, or poses a risk to users or the Platform. Desifounder is not obligated to provide reasons or prior notice for such actions.
You may delete your account at any time under Settings → Account Settings → Delete Account
11. Free and Paid Features
Desifounder is currently offered as a free platform to support founders, builders, and the startup community. To sustainably maintain, improve, and operate the platform in the long term, certain current or future features may be introduced as paid or “Pro” features.
Any such changes will be implemented thoughtfully and transparently. We will provide advance notice and clear communication to existing users before introducing paid features. This may include updates via email, in-platform notifications, and revisions to these Terms & Conditions.
Users will always have the choice to continue using available free features or opt into paid features where applicable. Introducing paid features will not affect your ownership of existing content or access to previously available free functionality unless explicitly stated.
Continued use of the platform after such updates indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with the “Last Updated” date revised. Continued use of the Platform means you accept the new Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India (or the jurisdiction where desifounder is registered), without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes shall be handled through negotiation first, and if unresolved, subject to jurisdiction of competent courts in India.
